PLEASE come and support the community at the San
Marino Unified School District public study session, which will be held
this afternoon, October 23, 2012, 5:00-7:15pm, at the Huntington Middle
School auditorium (1700 Huntington Drive, San Marino). The school board meeting will be held at 7:30pm, after the public study session, at the SMUSD office on 1665 West Drive, San Marino.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!
As concerned parents, we want the safest school campuses possible but the presence of illegally-built commercial cell towers makes us question the safety of our children as they spend 7+ hours a day at school. The two SMUSD cell towers were built without any building permits, inspections or tests. Who is liable for their structural safety?
The two SMUSD cell towers were built without any building permits, inspections or tests.

Cell tower fires cannot be fought with water or foam and are left to burn out on its own. Century windstorms have exceeded the wind ratings of the cell towers and the seismic rating of the cell towers are unknown. In 2000 Los Angeles Unified School District banned cell towers on and near school campuses.
