Cell tower fires cannot be fought with water or foam and are left to burn out on its own. Century windstorms have exceeded the wind ratings of the cell towers and the seismic rating of the cell towers are unknown. In 2000 Los Angeles Unified School District banned cell towers on and near school campuses.

Cell Phone Towers                         
Parents have made a request to remove the cell phone towers on school property.  The School Board has initiated a study on the potential health hazard of school site cell phone towers.  The results of an investigation by experts will be reported at the October 9th School Board Meeting.  A public forum regarding the cell phone towers will be held before the School Board Meeting scheduled for October 23rd at 5 pm.  Parents are welcomed to attend these meetings.
